That’s life, and these things happen. We all have times when it seems like everything avalanches on us. Writers live just like everybody else does; it’s just that they squeeze in writing their own tales (and promoting the published ones) amongst the family, friends, workdays, meetings, commutes, social functions, chores, errands, exercise, cooking, cleaning, drama, dishes, laundry, balancing finances, paying bills, and overall insanity that it takes to keep the world turning in the twenty first century. So when life goes crazy on one level and we’re releasing another level of crazy from our imagination – let’s just say you’re going to get some blank stares from time to time. It can be hard to tell the voices in our head from the one standing in the doorway saying “Sherri, did you hear me?”
How do we do it? Honestly, I don’t know. I write and promote what I can, when I can. Lunch hours, after work, in between items on the “to do” list, weekends, and any other time I can find a minute. I also don’t seem to watch as much TV as many of my peers do, so that might make a difference.
And like everybody else, somehow, we make it through the day and through another finished novel. Because the insanity that is life inspires too many great stories that need to be told – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
That’s all today. Take care. Have a Happy Friday tomorrow and a wonderful weekend.
Bye!
