I’ve done our holiday letter the past few years in this blog, but you’ll be pleased to know that reason prevailed this year. As I was pondering what to put in this letter, I realized that I’m posting it in a blog that’s updated once or twice a week. Do you really need a letter when you can come here anytime to see what’s up?
No, you don’t, so I’ll spare you. Instead of a three entry recap like I did last year, I’ll give you a three item summary:
2015 was more about what I lost. Specifically, a ton of stress to a job restructuring in February, and 20 pounds thanks to the stress reduction, a high protein diet, and the T25 exercise program. I feel better than I ever have mentally and physically! And Rick lost over 30 pounds. The funny thing is; we went on the diet and exercise program so we wouldn’t have to buy bigger clothes, and now we need smaller clothes. At least we kept some of the old stuff that still fits, but how long it lasts now that it’s returned to regular wear and tear is another story – so we may have postponed the shopping and changed the reason for it. At least it’s a good reason!
Things are moving - quietly. I finally wrote the scifi trilogy that I’d been planning since the summer of 2014. The Earthside Trilogy now exists and is moving along. Book 2 needs major reworking, but I've already started that process and have a plan to fix it going. If the Lord wills, I hope to release Book 1, Fracture, by the end of 2016.
This is a big project so I didn’t release a full length novel this year, but I did publish three shorter works:
- Hoyle’s Carnival, a children’s book in July.
- Terminal, a suspense story in September.
- The Experiment, a scifi story I just released on December 4.
2015 was kinder than 2013-2014. It wasn’t perfect – especially when I got a horrible ear infection in July and broke my foot in September - but all in all, it’s been a much better year. We’re grateful for it because the previous 2 years beat the crap out of us, so a boring year was a welcome reprieve. We pray it continues!

That’s all today. Take care, and have a great week.
Bye!
