Hurricane prep is a strange thing. You stock up, batten down, and then you sit. The outer rain bands are coming through central South Carolina now. It's eery. Rick and I (along with many other South Carolinian's) are having flashbacks of Hurricane Hugo on September 21, 1989. And they say on the news that the storm surge along the coast could be worse than Hugo. I do pray that everybody has evacuated!
The news is nothing but panic and anxiety. Even my weather radio is no comfort, so I've turned to my hobbies to keep me calm. I've written five chapters of Trigger, and I've done some reading. The days are anything but normal here, but it helps to do some normal things here and there to keep balanced. It beats watching weather radars and panicking meteorologists, anyway. Maybe I'll actually do some cross stitching later, too. We'll see.
Everybody take care and be safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. See you on the other side of this storm/adventure.
Have a Happy Friday and a good weekend.
Bye!
