Other than that, it’s life plugging along on a day to day basis. I’m trying to complete the rose cutting cross stitch that I’ve been working on for three years now. It’s large – a 9” X 12”, and I’ve completed and published three books of The Earthside Box Set during that time, so it’s taken me a while longer than it probably would with most serious cross stitchers. But such is the nature of life when you have a home, a full time job, and a freelance endeavor to juggle your time. You’re grateful for any progress you can make, and understand that slow progress is better than not trying.
But three years is a long time to work on a creative project, and it’s time to wrap this one up. That’s why I’ve decided to finish this cross stitch before diving back into writing in 2020. I think it’s best for me and my creativity if I focus, and the best way to do that is to finish what I’ve already got in progress before starting something else. If the Lord wills, I hope to finish that cross stitch and get it to the framer by the end of February, and to resume my writing in March. It seems like a good plan.
I’ve also done well in returning to my workout routine. I got sidelined early this week because I got a virus over the weekend, but I’m back to it. Just my luck, I have a long weekend and get sick halfway through it, just to get better in time to go back to work! Such is the nature of life. These things happen. I got back on the workouts as soon as I could, because this is how I fell off it in mid-November. I was sick, then I was busy, then my sinuses were acting up, then I was busy again - it’s too easy to find reasons not to do things you don’t like to do. The only way is to make it a habit so it doesn’t feel right if you don’t do it.
So this is life. Not exciting, but that’s alright because exciting can be stressful and who needs that? I’m thankful things are quiet right now, and to be back in my routine. It’s a blessing, and I mean to enjoy it to the fullest.
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great rest of the week.
Bye!
