There certainly has been an increase in the frantic energy about as life is slowly transitioning. We still don't know what to do. Well, here's an idea: why not take stock of the things that haven't been aggrivating the hell out of you for the past two months, and do a mental detox to bring about some more positive energy for when it is time for you to head back into that big, bad world.
I have no idea why somebody didn't think of this sooner. Probably because we've been so focused on fear and anxiety that we didn't see the gift we were given of having some of the day to day problems and nuisances removed from life. Be honest: you know there are some things you don't miss. You aren't human if you don't feel some sense of relief to be away from something that annoyed you on a day to day basis. This is life. You probably have a list I'm not saying you have to share it with anybody. In fact, you shouldn't. You should use that list to give thanks for a break, and to inspire you to make another list.
What other list? A list of things you're grateful to have found in lockdown. Do you realize that working from home was an unattainable dream for a lot of people until March? Do you know what a blessing it is to have a chance to try it out? To see a different version of the life you have? To experience your days in a whole new way? It's been over 100 years since the last pandemic. That's three lifetimes that didn't get this gift. Good grief folks, take it! Explore what you've gained, give thanks for it, and look for ways to incorporate what you can into everyday life now while you have a chance.
Maybe I'm too opportunistic. Certainly, some think I'm not realistic and that I don't "get it." Well, you're darn right! I don't get why so many people are wrecks when we have a wonderful gift to rediscover life right now! Perhaps this is where we should focus: not on fear, but opportunity. I'll be that's what all of those online therapists are making a fortune telling people these days. Get to know yourself. Get comfortable with your authentic self. Learn to love yourself.
Or just watch or read The Secret, and apply it, like I've said countless times since I discovered it in 2014. It's helped me find a better, more positive mindset - and you better believe I'm always looking for ways to upgrade.
That's all today. Stay safe, take care, and have a wonderful week.
Bye!
