Anything that sparkles. From diamonds to costume jewelry to decorations, if it glitters, I’ll stop. From fancy to handmade, if it glitters, I love it. I’ve always been the type to bring on the bling!
Christopher Pike books. I loved Christopher Pike as a teen. In fact, still have (and occasionally re-read) Die Softly, Road to Nowhere, and Whisper of Death in my bedside table. Pike’s books inspired me to be a writer – Blurry, my first published fiction title, was influenced by his work. I like a lot of writers, but Christopher Pike was the first author I was a “fan” of.
Avon Skin-So-Soft Original and Victoria Secret Rapture. I like to try new fragrances, but these two keep a permanent place in my fragrance wardrobe. I’ve loved Avon Skin-So-Soft Original scent since my Mom bought it from her best friend when I was a kid, and this is my go-to for days when I want a mild fragrance. And I’ve kept a bottle of Rapture since Mom gave me a sample bottle when Victoria Secret released it in 1992 for days when I want a bolder fragrance.
Pink. It remains my favorite color so much that Rick often reminds me that there are other colors and I should consider them. I even have a pink phone case and laptop. What can I say? I guess the pink paint in my room when I was a kid really got into my subconscious, because I’ve never outgrown my love for that color.
Christmas crafting. I guess those school art projects channeled my love of crafting. I love Christmas jewelry and making ornaments and craft gifts during the holidays. Well, always really. I wish I had more time to develop my crafting hobby, but writing and reading obviously come first (another love from childhood), so I do what I can in between writing projects and during my holiday writing hiatus. Sometimes, it’s not the traditions speaks to us so much as the little things that make them what they are. We all have favorite things that follow us throughout our lives. What are yours?
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great week.
Bye!
