The truth is that life really is made up mostly of the humdrum of everyday. Furthermore, I think most people crave simplicity and a boring routine despite the current "busy is cool" craze that's sweeping us. We may equate a hectic schedule with success, but the equation for joy and contentment is much simpler. I've said this to several people lately, and I'll say it again here: there's a beauty in the routine of everyday living, of going through your day with a focus on where you want your life to bear fruit, of working diligently and patiently toward your goals. The mountaintops may be what we remember, the valleys may be where we learn, but the majority of life is lived in the in-between days of steady work toward progress. I believe this is what they mean by finding joy on the journey.
I'll take it, enjoy it, and hope it can be all I dream it can be. And, of course, I'll keep calmly and happily working toward the goal in Christ toward future success and celebration while I enjoy where I'm at. It's nice when growing doesn't hurt, for a change.
That's all today. Take care, and have a great rest of the week.
Bye!
