Christ came.
Christ lived.
Christ died.
Christ rose.
Christ ascended.
Christ will come again.
It all comes down to this, and this is what we should celebrate not just on Christmas day, but every day of our lives. We exchange gifts with one another in observance and appreciation for the gift we received that can never be reciprocated or deserved. And yet, it is ours.
I think this is the perfect time of the year to celebrate Christmas. Yes, the world is in darkness. It surrounds and seems to overtake us. We are imperfect beings living in an imperfect world. And yet, this simple gift came not only to save us from the darkness, but to show us how to live. To light the path before us. To show us the way. To show that the darkness cannot overtake us if we chose to live in the light. To give us hope and a future.
Darkness is here, but so is light. What do you see? The darkness descending earlier in the day, or the lights sharing festivity and joy?
I thank all of you for the gift of your cherished friendship and wish you and your families a safe and Merry Christmas. May love, joy, peace, and comfort be yours now and always. God bless you, every one!
Merry Christmas!
