Yes, I crashed this weekend. I did get the proofs done on Splinter on Saturday (yay!) and the final version of the manuscript is done. Now I wait for the cover art, then it's promotion time. But for now - a break. I need it, and thankfully it came on a long weekend. As usual, I had some catching up to do in my seclusion with a heavy work load, book proofs, and housework. Life goes on even when you're not paying attention. But the world didn't end (outside of Splinter anyway:-) ) so we'll call it okay. People managed fine, so it appears that it's not wholly my responsibility to hold the world together after all. I won't lie - it didn't surprise me one bit that the proofs for Splinter came when they did. This novel has been fraught with obstacles and resistance from the start. It's truly come this far through prayer power, spiritual intervention, and frankly, the grace of God. I'll share more on this journey once it's done and the book is releases. It's a journey still I. progress, but I'm tracking it and when the time is right, well, let's say the journey is providing some good promotional ideas. For now, know that prayer does make a difference, and the evolution of Splinter is a testament to it. I see things working for good.Today, though, I'm going to take advantage of the gift of a day off. Happy Labor Day, all, and enjoy the holiday.Bye!
